On March 3, 2026, the fifteenth day of the first lunar month in the Year of the Horse (Bingwu year), the Lantern Festival illuminated the land and crossed mountains and seas, shining on every corner of the world where cooperation and connection exist. As the grand finale of the Chinese New Year celebrations, the Lantern Festival, also known as the Shangyuan Festival, is not only a folk tradition passed down for thousands of years by the Chinese people, but also a deeply ingrained belief in family reunion.
On this day, the land of the East is filled with a unique festive atmosphere. In the north, people roll glutinous rice balls (yuanxiao), while in the south, they wrap sweet rice dumplings (tangyuan), these soft and glutinous dumplings carrying the hope for family happiness. In the streets and alleys, riddles are guessed; in the squares, dragon and lion dances take place. Among the dazzling lanterns, the 2026-themed horse-shaped lanterns stand out, carrying the New Year's wishes of "instant success and galloping forward." This lively and warm atmosphere is the most vibrant expression of Chinese culture.
